We've served authentic Indian cooking on Mamaroneck Ave since 2006, built on traditional family recipes. Tandoori dishes come out of a real clay oven fired past 900°F, not a broiler; curries simmer for hours, not minutes; and breads are made to order, so what reaches your table was cooked after you asked for it. The dining room's arches and geometric line work take their cues from Mughal palace architecture — worth seeing even before the food arrives.
What to order
A few starting points if you're new to us:
- Chicken Makhni (butter chicken) — tandoori chicken in a rich butter-tomato gravy, the easiest order for a table that's never had Indian food before.
- Tandoori chicken — our clay-oven bestseller, real char and smoke from live fire.
- Biryani — chicken, lamb, or shrimp, spice-adjustable to the table.
- Dal Maharani Makhni — black lentils simmered overnight and finished with butter and cream — vegetarian and deeply comforting.
Most curries run on an adjustable spice scale — mild, medium, or spicy, your call — with a small handful (Korma-style dishes, Vindaloo, Phaal) fixed by design at one end. Ask your server if you're unsure what's adjustable.
Getting here from Rye
It's a short, direct drive from downtown Rye or from Rye Playland up to Mamaroneck Ave — no highway needed. We're set up for dine-in, pickup, delivery, and catering, plus a Sunday buffet if you'd rather sample a full spread than order à la carte. All meat we serve is 100% halal.
