The Emelin Theatre on Library Lane is one block off Mamaroneck Ave — close enough to walk from Rani Mahal, and close enough that "dinner before the show" doesn't have to mean rushing across town on a schedule.
Timing it around a show
Lunch runs daily, and dinner service starts at 5 PM every night — early enough to eat and still make a typical evening curtain without racing the clock. If you're headed to a matinee, walk-ins work just as well; you don't need a reservation to get a table.
Something fast, or something to sit with
If you're tight on time before a show, a few dishes come together quickly and travel well as a shared table: Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken straight from the clay oven, or a Biryani if you'd rather order one dish and be done deciding. If you've got more time — after the show, say — the full menu of slow-simmered curries and made-to-order breads is worth the extra twenty minutes.
Or skip the wait entirely
Prefer not to sit and order at all? Order online for pickup on your way to the theatre, or ahead of time so it's ready when you swing by. All meat we serve is 100% halal, and a full vegetarian section runs alongside the tandoori and meat dishes if part of your table doesn't eat meat.
One block from the Emelin, on Mamaroneck Ave — easy to fold into a night out without it becoming the whole plan.
